Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, declare our sovereign nationhood and complete inherent autonomy for our well-being as entrusted to us by Manitou.

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, declare our inherent right to govern ourselves and to continue to maintain the freedom and spirit of the Ansininiw Government as it existed with our ancestors.

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, declare title to our traditional lands and to protect it and all life sustaining resources within our territory for ourselves, our children and for future generations.

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, declare to collectively strengthen our goals as a Nation with distinct Aboriginal and treaty rights by determining and controlling the destiny of our interests in all areas of spiritual, legal, cultural, economic, social and political developments.

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, declare that our history, culture, language, traditions and elders provide the foundation of Ansininiwak and that they are essential to the future we shape for children of the Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point.

 

We, Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point First Nation, entrench the above principles and it is on this foundation that we, as Ansininiwak of St. Theresa Point, inaugurate a resolution declaring our nationhood and self-governance.
